I don't think Reid had ever been so ready for summer. During the last couple weeks of school he kept reminding me how excited he was that he'd get to stay home and play all day with Mara soon. We are now into week 3 of our summer and I am just oozing with joy because my kids so obviously love playing with one another. I want to have proof of this if things ever change in the future (looking at you, teenagers), so I'm going to do my best to document each week of our 2019 summer.
The first day of summer was glorious. Reid was invited to spend the day with his best buddy Ben. They played at his house, went to Omro pool, and went out to eat for dinner. I'm sure he was loving every minute of it. Ben was off somewhere -- I can't remember exactly where. But I had the three girls for most the day, so I decided we'd have a little party time.
We picked up their two best buddy's and headed to the splash pad. The kids played for a solid 2 hours. Between the water fun and two different playgrounds -- South Park is a great place to be on a hot Saturday afternoon.

After we took their friends back home, we headed to McDonald's for dinner. They were seriously loving it.
The big kids started swim lessons on Tuesday and this is how Mara felt about being left out of that fun.
Really though, she was just so too tired because she had spent the last five or so nights having a sleepover with her siblings.
