But our after game party was the most fun. A little mischievous, and as my parents have informed me . . . illegal. But I'm going to post about it anyway, cause it was just too fun.
In my defense, it was on public property. I pay taxes for that divider, and I don't want it stained with political grief.
That was the really fun part. Just doing my best to be a proud American citizen.Saturday, when I called to brag to my pops about my good deeds, he shot me down with a bubble of disappointment. Like I said, I didn't steal it from anyone's lawn. Don't taint my public property, and I'll leave you alone. Anyway, Saturday we had a cub scout jamboree. It's always fun to take the boys out to these activities, they get so excited.
Then Sunday (I know, I broke the law and the Sabbath this weekend, but when we bought the tickets we didn't think to check what day of the week it was) we went to a Redskins game. The guy I coach Bball with has season tickets and he offered to sale me a pair. I thought it would be fun. And it was. The seats were real nice and close, but I missed two of the three touchdowns (bathroom and concessions). NFL players really are huge. Now I can say I've been to professional viewings of all three of America's great sporting events.
Thanks honey for the great weekend! Now you can all go ahead and scold me for my bad behavior.

ha ha, I loved reading this post Liz! You are hilarious! And I'm jealous that you got to go to a Redskins game, not because I'm a fan of them or anything, simply because I think it'd be fun to go to an actual game. That's crazy that students like seeing their teachers in public, I can't even imagine what that must be like. ha ha.

Did Ma tell you that she has a couple of signs out in the front yard she's going to "steal" for you? One is a picture of a cow (for Uncle Howard's cows that are in the field to the south of us) and the other is the FOR SALE sign. We'll get them all wrapped up for Christmas!
Funny thing, last night when I was driving down the road I spotted a 2500 North and 4000 West sign in the ditch down on the corner turn to the church. My first thought was to stop and pick it up for my two sign thieves, but on second thought I drove on. Luckily I was on my way to a church assignment, so my thought process wasn't quite as tainted as yours.
I'll bet if we put an Obama sign up in our yard it might even disappear. They are hot items in Utah -- go figure!
