My two years at Dunbar are going to be rewarded in the next month or so. DC council approved a new teachers contract that will give me retroactive pay for my time spent there.
Not to mention, my salary increases about $7,000 for next year. Glad I stuck it out in DCPS even though they treat me like poop!
This really wasn't blog worthy, but I just want to shout for joy and since I don't have enough energy to do so . . . my fingers have to do the shouting for me.

I think that's definitely a reason to celebrate! A 7 grand pay increase!? I never saw that while teaching in Utah - you know all 2 years of them, haha. Congrats on that!
You are spoiled rotten Lizzie Lu! I have never seen a $7,000.00 increase not even when I went from teacher to principal. Don't whine! I suggest you send the council and union a thank you card. Catch a few flies with honey honey!!!

Doesn't sound like they treat you like poop to me! A raise and a bonus! You know sis we have a very difficult time with teachers who always moan and groan about the Millard School District. You need to rise above that and be grateful you have a job. Once a mom always a mom!
