Why I prefer NPR

NPR wrote the only Royal Wedding piece I enjoyed.  Why?

Well, they didn't just share the most famous picture from the wedding.
The magic moment.
That little girl does crack (and sum) me up!

But they also showed this picture, which I think speaks a lot more words.  Kate, now the Duchess of Cambridge, and little Grace van Cutsem.

And then, to top it all off the comments are usually fascinating.  I thought Christine Hong (twinmom2) chose much better phrasing than Barbra Walters ever could have when Hong wrote:  The Duchess seems to have the ears, the eyes, the mind, and the heart to be a true example of grace and leadership. I felt a connection with her on a human level, because in many ways, she represents all that we hope for in ourselves: beauty, compassion, grace, and the chance to make a difference in the world.

In my humble (studied-print-journalism-for-a-year) opinion, NPR truly is the best news source.  And I'm actually glad the government agreed to stop funding them . . . as stupid and ignorant as that move was.

To quote one of the most prophetic of our forefathers:  "If I had to choose between government without newspapers, and newspapers without government, I wouldn't hesitate to choose the latter."  -- Thomas Jefferson

Great coverage, I agree!
I didn't realize the government had dropped funding of NPR. The good ol' GOP in action. How pathetic.
Love, Pa

Your mother did watch the coverage on the BBC channel. Diana would be proud of her son and ever so happy for him. I wish them the best. I did love her and Pippas dresses!
