Nearly every time I mow the lawn I think, "I'm glad my son sees this. I'm glad he'll grow up knowing his mom mows the lawn."
I'm not so sure why that is important to me. I think gender is valuable, and I want to highlight the strength of each sex.
But I'm glad my little boy, and girl, run around like crazy wildebeests while I mow the lawn.
PS We have a big lawn and a push mower. This chore is no walk in the park.
