Cookie Decorating

I figure my discomfort shouldn't stop my kids from having a little holiday fun, but there's also no way I'm going to whip up a batch of homemade sugar cookies and accompanying frosting. I decided some cocoa krispie treats and store bought piping packages would work just fine for our gingerbread decorating. And did you know, a gingerbread cut out upside down makes a great reindeer? I didn't, until just last week. So Reid made a Gingerbread man and Nell made a Rudolph.*

Ben helped Nell pipe her frosting and place her first few decorations, but he eventually just put some candies on her plate and said "Okay, put them where you want them." She immediately shoved them in her mouth, like so ...
We both got a chuckle out of that!

They were both pretty proud of their creations and more than excited to eat them.

*Full disclosure: we actually made our first set yesterday with a couple of friends who were over for a play date. I still had half a pan of Krispie Treats left when the playdate was over, and the kids had, had so much fun I decided we'd save the other half for a family activity -- which took place and was pictured today.
