Saying Goodbye

My parents, like my husband, enjoy getting to the airport with plenty of time to spare. Unfortunately, we didn't double check their departure time and we ended up dropping them off 3 hours before their flight took off. Yikes. And on top of that, they left their reading materials in our car. Must have been a long 3 hours.

We still had a few hours of fun this morning before they left. We took it easy and just sat around the front room enjoying each other. Amazingly, I even got a picture.

The kids started missing them the moment we dropped them off. We went to Costco right after and Reid mentioned he missed them at least three times. They also kept asking when they'd see them again. Reid is pretty excited to go to Utah this summer, and we've already promised him we'd go dig fossils and see the dormant volcano. I'm pretty sure Grandma and Grandpa Bassett's house sounds like the coolest place ever thanks to those nearby attractions. But as excited as he is to go visit them, I do think he prefers having them stay at his house. He very much enjoyed having them live in our basement for a few days.

We loved living in your basement for a few days. We are already counting the days until we can visit extinct volcanoes and hunt go rock finding on the west desert.

Love those grandkids. Until we meet again...

And we very much enjoyed living in your basement for a few days and nights. Now we be missing our cute little Szilagyi kiddos! Missing Coraline's snuggles, Nell's naked, naked and Reid's imagination! Can't wait till summer. Wonder if Coraline will still be content to lay on my chest for an hour or two!
