Day 7 - a picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you
This picture encompasses two things really, the gospel and my eternal family . . . which are really just one thing -- the gospel. I list them separately though because there are two parts to the gospel that influence me everyday, and probably equally. One is the knowledge that my Savior Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and gave his life that I might learn from my mistakes, be forgiven of my sins, receive a glorified body, and return to live with my Father in Heaven. How can that not influence my everyday life? The other is my knowledge that the covenants I've made allow me to do all that, plus live with the ones I love the most. My family.
Day 8 - short term goals for this month and why
If you're spanning a whole month of goals I'd say they are pretty long term. Let's see, what do I want to accomplish before my Dad's b-day on Dec 20th? I definitely want all our Christmas shopping done (including the meal). Reid sleeping 10 or 12 hours STRAIGHT each night. Two units worth of lesson plans ready for when I go back to work. And . . . a work out schedule! That last one just kind of sprung up on me right now, but I do want to be ready for my favorite Triathlon venue, which is early June. So I'll have to be on the treadmill and bike within the next 30 days. The "why" for the first three goals are all the same -- to make my life easier as I balance working full time+ as a teacher and REAL full time as a new mom.
