Instead of sharing my opinions (amazing, I know) I present these questions.
1. If you come home from your job with such negative things to say, why do you want to keep it?
2. If we want to "fix" America's public school system so badly, why do we insist on silencing our teachers?

I believe there are those kind of people that live out there that thrive off of negativity. It makes drama for their lives, I guess. That is maybe why.

#2. I believe that teachers MUST be part of the conversation in "fixing" America's schools; however, there is a constructive way to do it and I didn't feel the video segment I watched addressed it in that manner.

I understood your quote Ma. And Pa, I think the video segment actually tells us a lot about fixing schools . . . like we obviously aren't recruiting top quality employees.
We will never attract top quality teachers until we pay them adequately! And that ain't gonna happen anytime soon, I fear.
