No words to describe my anger

Governor Walker is cutting $9 million from Education and then making schools cut their tax collections by $550 a pupil.  I plan on moving back to DC so I can send Reid to a decent public school.

It's very frustrating how one individual in power can drastically change something so important.

The problem with moving; however, is you never know when that wrong individual will be given power. I'm impressed with your previous letters, but I honestly wonder how often they actually read them and change their course because of the words.

Sometimes I feel like politicians see us as flies. They know what they want to do and we are just this annoying nuisance that they swat away with the flick of their hand.

What is important is their agenda and not the people they serve.

Are the democrats still in hiding? Interesting the way he is playing his political cards! But I am going to do a post soon on "Anger, a deadly toxin." You might want to check it out.Love ya Momxoxoxoxo

Unfortunately he got elected by a majority of the electorate, which doesn't speak highly of the electorate of Wisconsin, but Utahns are every bit as stupid, believe you me. We have a long history of stupidity when it comes to state government...

Our legislature is really doing a number on us again this year. They plan to give the governor exclusive control of public schools, as they absolutely loathe the liberal State School Board -- which is nominated by the Governor -- go figure! It will have to go before the people and it will likely go down to defeat just like vouchers did a few years ago, but the defeat will make them more angry and they will persist with their craziness until they have completely destroyed the public school system -- I honestly don't know what the Republican agenda is for education (or anything for that matter), not sure they even know, that's why they scare the hell out of me...

The sad thing is, those elected say they are doing it in the name of those they represent and I fear lots of times that is the truth -- which speaks very little of the intelligence of the average American.

This too shall pass. They'll go home for a season and then next year it will be worse! We always say it can't get any worse, but lately every year it has.

Is Wisconsin also a one party state? That is what is totally wrong with Utah. It will never get better because there are absolutely no checks and balances. Even the church realized the need for balance when they split wards down the middle. It's long past time to do that again, but I fear too many of them belong to the Grand Old Party.

I suppose we have Bush to blame. The country got fed up with his right wing antics, so they elected a left wing liberal who is now trying to coddle Republicans by becoming a centrist (reminds me of the centrist Romney who is now right wing to appeal to his cronies!). The public spoke loud and clear with the Tea Party in 2010 and we can only hope and pray they'll give them the boot in 2012 after they've drug us to an all time low! Whatever happened to compromise and middle of the road?

I've rambled enough and I'm sure Mom's next blog will be as much for me as for you! Can't wait to hear what she has to say. She's always right, you know...

Love, Pa

Just curious if $9 million out of Wisconsin's education puts you below Utah yet...or are we still proudly bearing #50? I hate being last.
I'm not nearly into politics as much as you are...mostly because I hatefully despise democrats every bit as much as I do republicans. Dishonesty everywhere. But I have lived in China, Russia, and Ukraine so I'm not so fond of communism either. And I lived there when that supposedly was done with. The effects are lasting. At times I feel blessed to live in this nation, and at other times I'm sickened by its corruption. Just waiting for it to get worse...then the 2nd coming can happen.
