It's Official!

I'm committed. Even though I about died in the pool today. On Oct 4 I am going to compete in my first Triathlon. Hopefully it won't be my last. Everyone I know who does it loves it and returns to the sport. It's been really fun training for the past couple of weeks. It gives me goals to set when I do my daily workout. Ben is being really supportive. He taught me the breast stroke, and is letting me spend lots of money on the event. I'm journaling my progress here. If you want to check out the official website of the race you can visit it here. You can even look on the participant list and see my name. The best part is I've talked my sister-in-law Mel, best friend Marie, and old college roommie Kim into doing it with me. We are going to have so much fun. And Kim is going to smoke us!

Sister Bassett!

Well, I guess I shouldn't be calling you that anymore :)

How are you? I'm on my mission now! :D

I guess we need a rematch then, don't we?!?! But just for the record, it was not my idea and I did not try to participate. I'm pointing all 10 fingers at Jen and Maci!

And the conversation from Saturday night falls into the "Ben" category, for blogging etiquette reasons.

I read your Mom's comment and got a little melancholy at the thought of you being in a different house at Christmas time and our late night girl talk not being held in the annual meeting spot!!!! My parents' igloo door is always open!!

Good luck Lizzie! Cory and I just finished a half marathon and about died! :) Not really, it was hard but it's great to say that I finished it. How long is the run, swimming, biking? You'll do great! GO LIZ

That is awesome! I loved training for my marathon, but to bike and swim as well is incredible. I don't think I could do it. Good Luck!
