Sometimes I worry that I'm still so in love with my "high school" friends. Have I not made any friends since I left Delta? Am I refusing to grow up? Would we even be friends if we hadn't all been stuck in the same small town our whole lives, playing on the same sports teams, and boyfriend-less for the same summer?

But then I remember spending weekend nights doing stuff like this.

And childhood days being cute like this.
And it all fills justified. Nothing can beat a relationship built over the course of your most impressionable years. Hours wasted loving and nurturing each other. Protecting and healing hurt feelings.
There will always be a big place in my heart for each of these girls, and it is totally necessary. They earned it.

Ali, looks like you are wearing some jewlry to go along with the cheetah blanket! Too funny you girls! How in the heck did Marie get voted to be bottom one on the pile up? Glad she is alive and well! Too cute, too fun, love those girlies! Mom
