Sleep

Some posts are more thrilling than others. This is a total snore. Nonetheless, it is my life.

Last night Reid woke up around 11:00, insistent that he could not sleep. For half an hour he kept going back to bed, only to scream out my name three minutes later. He finally woke up Nell. Who has never done well going back to bed in her crib after being woken up in the middle of the night.

So the three of us went into the guest bedroom shortly after midnight and spent a horrible hour and half together. Frustrated and furious I put them both back in their beds around 1:45. They only took about 15 minutes to fall asleep, but didn't hesitate to wake up right on time, at 6:15 am.

Right now it is nap time, and Nell has been sporadically screaming from her crib for over an hour. I don't even care. I went in to changer her diaper, give her her favorite loveys, and read her another story. But it didn't help.

And so she'll be screaming until 3:00, or whenever it is that she finally wakes up Reid.

They darn well better sleep tonight!
