Empathy

I love Daniel Tiger. I also love Wild Kratts. Mostly, I love PBS. But really, I love Daniel Tiger. I've never come across a show that teaches children such wonderful life skills, except, not ironically, Mr. Rogers. I am so glad his legacy lives on with my own children.

Today Nell and I snuggled up in my bed and watched an episode, how else would you celebrate an afternoon of girl time (Reid's at Grandma and Grandpas)? The episode showed kids in normal experiences that required thinking about how their friends felt. In each case, the child decided to change their actions in order to help a friend.

How beautiful. If only we all learned that lesson as children. If only we learned it AND it stuck.

The Golden Rule, do unto others as you would have done unto you.

We happen to be watching Daniel tiger right now as I read this. I also love it. The potty episode persuaded my son to get trained.

Sounds like your mother needs to start watching Daniel Tiger. Maybe when you come out.
